"Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up;
do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland."
Isaiah 43:18-19
Hey guys! I want to thank everyone for all the support on the last blog. So many of you reached out and said incredibly nice things, and I will never be able to fully show how appreciative I am.
Before I jump into today's topic, I wanted to give an update on how I feel. It has been a pretty good chunk of time since everything happened. I am not going to sugar coat or make up how I am honestly feeling hahaha. Currently, I am on top of the world. I mean I have never felt better mentally. I have had an absolutely terrible cold for almost an entire week, but even me feeling absolutely disgusting physically, cannot change my mood. Blessings upon blessings have been coming my way. I am not going to share it all in this blog, but stay tuned.
It is time to talk about today's topic. Okay, I realize we are 21 days into 2019, but goals can be made at anytime really. I want to clarify that we are talking about goals not necessarily a resolution. See, people choose some broad or very difficult resolution for the New Year, and many times, it ends up being a fail. We have all been there hahaha. Whereas, if you make smaller changes, you have a better chance at success.
Here are my goals for 2019:
10 minutes of worship every morning : My goal is to form a very strict habit of a designated worship time in the morning. Before I check my phone or do anything, I want to have one on one quiet time with God. This could mean reading a devotion and the Bible, or it could even be just a time for prayer. However, I push more towards the devotion and Bible, because I pray throughout the day anyways... if that makes sense hahaha.
Write a blog every other week : I am really, really wanting to work on this. I find that writing a blog is so good for me. It feels great to be able to write out how I feel. However,that is not the only reason I do this. I feel it is a good way for me to reach out to people. By showing the ups and downs in my life and how God is there through it all, I feel that even if one person takes something from it... It was all worth it. I definitely want to put in a serious effort in my blog this year.
Write in book every other week : I do not know exactly how I feel about this goal honestly lol. I love writing short stories, and it would be awesome to put together a little book. However, I am still trying to get an exact feel for what I want to write. So, I guess my goal is to start brainstorming during the week where I won't post a blog.
Workout once a week : It is okay. I am giving you all permission to laugh at me. I realize that this is a very sad goal, and says a lot about me. Once is better than nothing though. My job requires me to carry a very chunky baby all around, and run after him. So, I do move around a lot during the week. I will try to work up to more than once a week, but I am not making any promises at all.
Develop a better skincare routine : I do not have the worst skin in the world, but I definitely do not have the best. So, I want to try out more products, and develop a routine that is good for my skin. I think this goal is pretty self-explanatory though lol.
Making little changes or new habits can go a long way. Instead of making one big and impossible resolution, make a couple / few smaller ones that you can accomplish. Make 2019 your year!
Lastly, you all are appreciated! <3 Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more blogs!
